Find, Delete, Prevent Your Facebook Profile Picture To Be Used By Others

How will you feel if you find that your own facebook profile picture is used by someone else (considering you are not a celebrity) on a facebook and that too for illegal purpose and what if it exists without in your knowledge. The situation can become even much worse if you are a girl. Well, there is a lot of settings inside facebook you can control your privacy. But, however one can still download your pictures and share over internet. Facebook did a lot to make things private but however �save image as� option under browser is something which is out of facebook. Thus, how to prevent your Facebook Profile Picture to be used by others or in Fake Ids. Let�s see it below.

How to Find Fake Facebook Profile Pictures

Step#1: Go into your facebook account and open profile picture of you. If possible enlarge it.
Step#2: Right Click on your profile picture and select �copy image location�.

Step#3: Open Google Images website (http://images.google.com, http://www.google.com/imghp).
 Click on camera icon to open a dialog box

Step#4: Paste your copied image URL in the box as shown here.


Step#5: Your Image will be searched here and list of other sites or facebook profile will be displayed here which is using the same image.
  
But, Hey! wait we are still not done.

Step#6: Write �facebook� along with the attached image in the box.

 

Step#7: The search result generated here by google shows you the facebook profile using same picture as their facebook profile picture (display picture).


It is so easy to find, isn�t it? well, I suggest you to search your older profile photo as well. If you find any user who is using your profile picture without your consent, then do something on your behalf. The other thing you can do on your behalf is to use facebook�s �Report/Block� option to force the fake account deleted. 

#1: First go to the profile of the person using your picture. Click on settings box and select �Report/Block�.


 #2: The Box which appears will now ask you for the reason you want it to block. Select appropriate reason as submit.


#3: After confirming select some other appropriate option and you are done now.


Only one Report/Block will not help you much, we @codemink suggest you to ask your friends to Report/Block that fake account following the same steps and selecting the fake account as �pretending to be someone I know.

Other Things which you can do to is to publish a post on your timeline as a status stating �Hey!, This person is using my profile picture and is fake. Report this account as it is pretending to be me. http://www.facebook.com/###�

New Announcement in Facebook - Shared Photo Albums feature

The social networking giant, Facebook , announced the new feature called as "Shared Photo Albums". This feature says that now you can share the albums to others who can in turn share it to others. The photos that you want to show now can be shared with others who are called as "Contributors" in the main feature. They can again add up their contributors in this chain. Like this, a photo album can be shared up to 50 contributors. These contributors can in turn share their own photos for that album which is shared. 

This feature is helpful for user engagement in groups who has a lot of images to share. 
 
One who wants to share the albums, can enjoy the facility of  three options or sub-features in the "Shared Albums", which are public, friends of contributors and contributors only. 
As it is said that a picture is worth thousand words. On the same basic thought, Facebook has put forth this idea of sharing the photo albums. One who is creating a photo album can share access to as many as 50 "contributors". Now these contributors in turn can share up to 200 photos. 
This is available for users on desktop and will be widely made accessible for others too shortly. 



An important point that can be taken in to consideration here is , if you are preparing for job interview and if you are using this "Shared Photo Album" feature, then you have to be doubly sure that the photos you are making public are of related matters that will promote you online social presence. Facebook trick - How to hide certain posts from your News Feed permanently

Given a chance to change the look of your Facebook News Feed, then there are some posts that are just unwanted when you watch them. There are some posts that may be annoying or spam or uninteresting for you. There is a chance to hide them off permanently. 

Before doing anything, just have a glance of your News Feed. What do you feel about some posts. They are unwanted and uninteresting? Then throw them off in the garbage. Here the garbage literally means to hide from the screen. 

For example, if someone has posted like, "ABC has liked 10 images ...." Is this post interesting for you? I don't think s. Decide and hide the post.

  • Games that you play. The type of games that you play is shown at the timeline . Get it removed if not needed. 
  • Which "Causes" you support? If they are good causes , show them else delete your presence from them.

    Share your current feelings while status updating in Facebook

    Facebook trick - To change the language settings

    Facebook tricks lovers- let me share this cute trick with you today. This may not be so useful to most of the users because all know English. There are some people who use other languages and want to see their account page in that language so that they can understand the options properly. Many times, we think that only "English" is the language that is set by default in every page on net. But this is not. If you want to change the name of the web-page then you can do that if the option is provided there. 

    Facebook being a largest and the king of all social networking sites across the world, it has to use all languages that can be communicated with the users. The options should be understood by the users. 

    There are many languages available in Facebook if seen properly . By default, when you create your account in Facebook, it is set as "English (US)". The option of changing the language of your choice is available in the settings tab. 

    It does not require any stepwise clarifications to change the language settings, but just a click of an option and selection of the language. That's it.

    Trick to link between Facebook and Twitter

    Do you have a Facebook account? Also you post some interesting posts in Twitter too on the daily basis? Then there becomes a tiring work of first logging in Facebook account , then finding some posts, updating yours on it. Then move on to Twitter .This will unnecessarily waste your precious time. 

    If there is a linkage between these two social networking sites, then the posts updated in Facebook will be automatically seen in Twitter too and vice versa. 

    Some settings just have to be changed and then it will be linked together. 





    Follow these simple steps : 

    • Login to your Facebook account
    • Click on the "Settings" option and then click "Account Settings" option 
    • In the lists , select the "Follower Settings" from the left tab
    • Click on the check box called "Turn On Follow" which will aggregate into new set of options below
    • Select the Twitter option and click "Edit" at the right side. 
    • Link the Twitter account by logging in to your Twitter account. You have to authorize app for linking.
    • After saving , the Twitter and Facebook are now linked.

    In this case, if you update your posts in Facebook it will get posted to Twitter. But does it do vice versa? 

    No, for that you have to link Twitter with Facebook . To do so follow the following steps to link Twitter with Facebook.

    Facebook tests new mobile payment form filling service; will not be a competitor to Paypal

    Many websites like Allthingsd.com have reported that Facebook is testing a new mobile payment service. However, our market sources, reveal that this is far from the truth. Facebook is only testing a service, which would pre-fill your credit card and billing information to make it easier for you to pay through any payment processor (such as PayPal). If things work out as planned, you could have a button, which says, "Please fill in my payment information". Once, you click yes, then the app could possibly fill in your information, and you could then proceed to pay by hitting the 'Confirm Purchase' option. 
     
    Market analysts say that this service will help Facebook improve the ROI of its ads, as more people could proceed to buy things as billing information can be easily put into the form required.
